A woman (Jennifer Lawrence) is taken by surprise when her husband (Javier Bardem) lets uninvited guests (Ed Harris, Michelle Pfeiffer) in to stay at their home. As her husband's behaviour grows increasingly odd, especially when she finds a photographic portrait of him in the other man's luggage, she gets distressed and just wants everyone to leave, as more and more strange things occur.
